Rio Grande Orthopedic Center has been serving Harlingen and the Rio Grande Valley for over 24-years. Founded by Dr. Rick Bassett, Rio Grande Orthopedic Center has devoted itself to caring for fracture and orthopedic emergencies as well as stubborn knee, hip and shoulder pain.

Dr. Bassett has long been one of the foremost joint replacement orthopedic surgeons in the country and is joined by Dr. José Cobos who specializes in joint replacement as well as trauma orthopedic surgery. The addition of Dr. Carmelita Teeter who specializes in shoulders as well as sports medicine, and general orthopedic surgery has allowed the clinic to provide excellent care for most orthopedic problems.

Rio Grande Orthopedic Center's physicians are all board certified by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and are dedicated to provide the best possible care to our patients.
